Emotion-Aware Music Recommendation System: Enhancing User Experience Through Real-Time Emotional Context
Babu, Tina, Nair, Rekha R, A, Geetha
This study addresses the deficiency in conventional music recommendation systems by focusing on the vital role of emotions in shaping users music choices. These systems often disregard the emotional context, relying predominantly on past listening behavior and failing to consider the dynamic and evolving nature of users emotional preferences. This gap leads to several limitations. Users may receive recommendations that do not match their current mood, which diminishes the quality of their music experience. Furthermore, without accounting for emotions, the systems might overlook undiscovered or lesser-known songs that have a profound emotional impact on users. To combat these limitations, this research introduces an AI model that incorporates emotional context into the song recommendation process. By accurately detecting users real-time emotions, the model can generate personalized song recommendations that align with the users emotional state. This approach aims to enhance the user experience by offering music that resonates with their current mood, elicits the desired emotions, and creates a more immersive and meaningful listening experience. By considering emotional context in the song recommendation process, the proposed model offers an opportunity for a more personalized and emotionally resonant musical journey.

Hello 2022! - Stage11
A few months ago our CEO Jonathan Belolo outlined our ambitions for Stage11, so as we've kicked off the new year we wanted to highlight some of the things we are planning for 2022. Moving into 2022 all our work busily testing live motion-capture and volumetric capture technologies will culminate in the release of our first interactive NFT collectibles, which will be accessible on our own app, to be launched in beta later this year. We will also deliver our debut immersive music experience, the first of many, featuring a cast of world-famous artists including David Guetta, Snoop Dogg and Ne-Yo. For what the future holds on that front we already dropped a few hints in our footage of mocap sessions with Akon and Martin Garrix, with more names to be revealed soon. Our team includes top talent from the world of tech, gaming, music and fashion.
Bentley is using AI to create customized music experiences
Customization has long been a key element of the Bentley experience and now the luxury automaker is taking that to a new level with'adaptive music'. Developed in partnership with LifeScore, Bentley is the first company to apply this technology to a car, creating algorithms that use specific driving inputs to influence the type of music that is created. Music is sourced from a library of audio elements that have been recorded at Abbey Road Studios through 50 microphones in full sphere surround sound and more than 100 billion unique music tracks can be turned into a sixty-minute driving soundtrack. So how does it work exactly? Say you're driving through town, the system monitors this and creates a suitably calm soundtrack and once you've tapped into a sportier driving mode, the music becomes much more energetic, reading things like gear changes and acceleration to create the perfect audio complement to your driving style.
